Digital Accountability to Affected People

Research (and practice) on Digital Engagement – Understand how to interact with communities online

Research for Purpose expertise is anchored in the idea that research products need to inform the practice and give tangible results in terms of strategy development. Our experts have worked with organizations like UNHCR, Deutsche Welle Academy, Internews, UNICEF, the CDAC network, IRC, MSF and others to support them in the use of research data for program adaptation and design.

These project used extensive qualitative and quantitative data to inform engagement strategies with affected communities, looking at where communities go to find information online and what do they do with it. This often involved online mapping of affected communities, tracking conversations and topics, and an analysis of the responses provided by organizations with recommendations on how to improve their strategies.
