Flavia Țăran is a lecturer at Babeș-Bolyai University in Romania, where she is a part of the permanent faculty in the Department of Journalism and Digital Media. With a Bachelor’s degree in journalism, a Master’s degree in media communication, and a Ph.D. in communications science, her expertise spans a wide range of media-related subjects.
As an educator, Flavia teaches technical courses and seminars on Digital Data Analysis, Web Languages (HTML & CSS), Data Journalism, Editorial Design, and Digital Platforms. Her research interests focus on media representations, social media analysis, and computer-mediated communication, particularly examining online phenomena, trends, and memes, this being the topic of her Ph.D. thesis.
