Sophia is a Strategy Director with eleven years of experience in strategic communications, public mobilisation, and social impact programmes across both private and public sector clients. She is passionate about the power of communications to drive meaningful systemic change and has developed compelling campaigns ranging from global programs to local creative activations.

With expertise in gender equity, global health, climate justice, democracy, and human rights, Sophia’s work spans the UK, EU, South Africa, India, Japan, UAE, Kenya, and the US. She excels at identifying unique insights and crafting innovative approaches to address society’s most pressing issues.

Most recently, Sophia worked at social impact agency Purpose, leading cross-functional teams in designing and implementing complex, public-facing campaigns. She oversaw key accounts and social impact programmes funded by international foundations such as Co-Impact, the Wellcome Trust, and Porticus.

Prior to Purpose, Sophia worked at the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, developing creative solutions and content to accelerate progress towards key advocacy goals. She also led campaign activations at Project Everyone, driving awareness of the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Her career began in consumer brand and communications strategies at Microsoft before she pivoted to social impact.
