Vinicius Grunberg Lindoso is an expert in strategic communications for public policy issues, with 10+ years of experience working in international development on climate change, ocean science and other environmental issues. He served for eight years as the Communications Officer for UNESCO’s Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission, working hand in hand with a host of UN agencies, other international organizations, major non-governmental organizations, and scientific institutions to develop best practices to implement evidence-based communication and campaigning strategies, manage institutional branding, better understand the needs and concerns of audiences, and engage with various types of influencers. His expertise also includes setting up research on communications insights and developing digital toolkits tailored to the needs and resources of his clients.

Vinicius has proven experience managing global communications projects, resource mobilization and public-facing campaigns within the UN system and in partnership with coalitions of private sector and civil society partners across the globe. He is a major advocate for building JEDI (justice, equality, diversity and inclusion) principles into strategic communications, bringing global majorities and their realities to the heart of international development and other public policy issues through accessible and inclusive storytelling and behavior change solutions.

Beyond his focus on strategic communications, Vinicius also has academic and professional experience in international governance, having worked previously at the OECD-hosted Multilateral Organizations Performance Assessment Network. His holds a B.A. in Global Affairs and French Literature (Yale University) and a Master of Public Policy (University of Oxford).
